700 milliliters of Boiling water
600 grams of Sugar
Ice
Preparation
Step 1 : First, the pieces of tamarind paste are placed in a container and completely covered with boiling water.
Step 2 : Then, let it sit for several hours until the pulp has fully dissolved.
Step 3 : Once this time has passed, use your fingers to carefully scrape the tamarind pulp and seeds.
Step 4 : To facilitate juice extraction, add cold water to the torn tamarind.
Step 5 : Next, strain the mixture using a sieve, pressing gently to extract as much juice as possible and collect it in a large container.
Step 6 : If residue remains in the pulp, repeat the process with more cold water, pouring it over the remaining pulp and straining again into the same container to maximize the flavor.
Step 7 : Then, add sugar to the tamarind juice and mix well until completely dissolved.
Step 8 : Store the drink in the refrigerator to chill properly.
Step 9 : Before serving, add ice to enjoy its freshness.
Step 10 : To adjust the flavor and texture, add water to taste, softening the tamarind’s intensity.
