Ingredients

1 Chicken cut into large pieces

2 Chopped onions

100 grams of Toasted almonds

4 Pita bread

4 Garlic cloves

1 tablespoon of Sumac spice

1 tablespoon of Pepper

1 tablespoon of Cardamom

½ tablespoon of Cinnamon

½ tablespoon of Nutmeg

1 tablespoon of Sugar

20 milliliters of Lemon juice

Olive oil

1 pinch of Pepper

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : In a blender, combine the garlic, lemon juice, sumac spice, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Step 2 : Blend the mixture and set aside.

Step 3 : Place the chicken pieces in a container and add the prepared mixture.

Step 4 : Let it marinate for 1 to 2 hours.

Step 5 : In a skillet with oil, sauté the onions.

Step 6 : Then add sugar and caramelize the onions.

Step 7 : Remove the chicken from the marinade and sear it in the skillet.

Step 8 : Add the liquid from the marinade, toasted almonds, and caramelized onions to the chicken.

Step 9 : Mix well and let it rest for a few minutes, then remove from heat.

Step 10 : Bake the pita breads according to your preference and fill them with the chicken mixture.
