Ingredients

300 grams of Kadaif pasta

500 grams of Akkawi cheese

1 tablespoon of Orange coloring

250 grams of Melted butter

200 grams of Sugar

5 milliliters of Lemon juice

3 tablespoons of Orange blossom water

Preparation

Step 1 : In a pot, prepare the caramel by adding the juice of half a lemon, 200 grams of sugar, a glass of water, and the orange blossom water.

Step 2 : Stir the mixture and let it simmer over low heat until the desired caramel consistency is achieved.

Step 3 : Take the kadaif and cut it finely with your hands.

Step 4 : Then place it on a surface and add 200 grams of melted butter.

Step 5 : This mixture is placed in a small pot over low heat and left to brown for about 5 minutes.

Step 6 : Set aside.

Step 7 : Prepare another mixture with the remaining 100 grams of butter and the orange coloring, which is brushed onto a tray.

Step 8 : Extend the kadaif paste across the tray, reserving one-third of the mixture.

Step 9 : Cut the akkawi cheese into strips and place over the kadaif in the tray.

Step 10 : Place the tray over low heat until the edges begin to turn golden.

Step 11 : Remove from heat and place the remaining kadaif mixture on top as the final layer.

Step 12 : Insert the tray into the oven for approximately 10 minutes, or until golden and the cheese is melted.

Step 13 : When serving, spread the prepared caramel over the presentation.
